I am excited to be your Music Teacher this year! I grew up in Longview, Texas where I attended Johnston-McQueen elementary, Judson Middle School and Longview High School. While I was in grade school my favorite class was choir because I love to sing! I made All Region Choir every year as a Soprano 1 and made 1's at State Solo and Ensemble. After graduating High School I attended University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and received my B.A. in Church Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. I took education courses as apart of my degree plan and soon realized that I wanted to be a music teacher. I certified post baccalaureate and started teaching in August 2007. I have enjoyed all 11 years of teaching. Here's to year 12!
Outside of teaching, I am a proud wife to Eric (married 10 years) and a mom to Caitlynn (age 7) and Kherington (age 6). I am active at my church, love hiking and walking trails and enjoy discovering new restaurants.
Mission For The Class It is our mission as Elsa England musicians to be active and reflective listeners and performers who are passionate about music in all its facets, and who can use music to communicate in ways that go beyond oral language ability.
